To ensure the fair circulation of materials, resources have varying loan periods and fines are in place for the late return of materials. All resources are labelled to indicate how long they can be borrowed for.
|Loan Category||Description||Fine per day|
|1 day loan||High demand key resources that cannot be renewed||£5 per item|
|3 day loan||AV items such as DVDs||£1 per item|
|7 day loan||High demand books and other materials||20p per item|
|28 day loan||Wider reading materials||10p per item|
|Not for loan||Items that cannot be borrowed from the library and are used within the library for reference|
|Teaching Practice - 28 day loan||Materials available to all and an addtional allowance for Education students||10p per item|
If at the point of issue a resource is reserved by another user, the loan period will automatically change to a 7 day loan. This is to ensure the fair circulation of resources. Check your self service receipt and keep track of your loans using My Account. If a resource is reserved whilst on loan, the due date will not change but renewals will not be possible.
|All users may borrow up to two 1 Day Loan items and three audio visual resources as part of their allocation.|
