We have an established and University endorsed study skills strategy.
Our strategy takes a wide view of skills, incorporating the University's commitment to a research active curriculum, graduate employability and digital literacy. Information literacy is central to study skills, but also includes academic skills such as critical thinking and academic writing.
We have created and sourced key resources that support the learning and teaching of academic skills. You can use, adapt and embed them into your teaching.
The reusable learning resources are available under a Creative Commons licence. This allows you to download, customise or link to the resources to support skills development in your teaching, providing that the University of Sunderland Library is attributed as the source of the work. All students can also access the generic version of materials from the library website or within the VLE.
