Study skills events

We run a variety of skills events to help you complete your assignments and support your research. Keep an eye on this page to stay up to date with the events on offer.

Dissertation Support - Every Friday at The Murray Library Information Skills Room on the lower floor.

Procrastination is sometimes the easier part of a dissertation or large project so take advantage of our distraction free space and get some writing done before the weekend. You don’t need an appointment, you can just turn up, choose a computer, and dedicate some time to your writing. If you need some extra guidance there will be expert help on hand in the Study Skills Zone throughout the afternoon session.

Dissertation Drop-in 2018/19

Study Skills Drop-ins - Every Tuesday at The Murray Library Study Skills Zone, 1 pm - 4 pm and every Thursday at the Student Skills Suite St. Peter's Library 10 am - 1 pm during term time.

This Thursday (2nd May) Drop-in will be online.  Just start chatting to us on LibraryTalk Live Chat.

Study Skills Advisers will be available to answer your academic writing questions. Whether you're looking for tips to help your academic writing; revision skills; time management; or even dissertation guidance for those doing dissertations now and those getting ahead and planning for dissertations. Students can access up to 10 minutes of guidance at each Drop-in session which usually lasts for 3 hours.

Drop in and reserve your 10 minute slot!
