University Library Services run a variety of skills support events to help you complete your assignments and to support your research.
Exam and revision skills drop-ins begin on Tuesday 2nd May and will take place every day at both libraries for three weeks.
No appointment needed. Just stop by the Skills drop-in at either St. Peter's or the Murray Library and library staff will do our best to help you with your exam or revision skills questions, whether you have a specific question or even if you just need a five-minute break and want someone to chat to.
Dissertation Skills Week begins on 6th June 2017. Our dissertation workshops are aimed at students who will be doing a dissertation either this summer or next year, although all students are welcome. Learn more about our workshops and book your place now.
A workshop aimed at University of Sunderland students who are about to embark on a dissertation. It is an introductory session where we will look at how to choose a topic and design a planned approach to research.
There are a lot of types of information that you can use in your dissertations, and even more places to find it. We'll look at some of the ways you can find the information you need.
Referencing doesn't have to be a nightmare. Zotero is a free tool that allows you to collect your references easily while online. It integrates with Microsoft Word so you can easily create your reference list.
