Borrow a laptop

University laptops can be borrowed from one of the lap safes located in St. Peter's Library, The Murray Library, and the Gateway. They are borrowed on a self-service, first-come first-served basis. These laptops are for student use only

Lap safes are secure charging cabinets for laptops which are located in different buildings on the University campus. There are 7-day and same day laptop loans available in St. Peter's Library (Level 1) and The Murray Library (Ground Level). There are 7-day laptops available in the Gateway (Level 2).

You will need your campus card and your PIN to borrow and return a laptop and interact with the touch screen kiosk on the lap safe. To reset your PIN, please go to library.sunderland.ac.uk/pin and follow the on-screen instructions.

Laptops can only be borrowed when the Gateway and Library buildings are open.
