Accessing our libraries

If you need to drive to and park on campus, there are nearby parking facilities at both of our libraries. You will need your campus card or staff card to enter and exit our buildings during self-service hours.

Services may differ due to COVID-19. Please see our FAQs for more information.

Access and parking

The Murray Library and St Peter's Library have good provision for wheelchair users. There are disabled access parking facilities near both of our libraries.

City Campus has disabled parking spaces available behind Edinburgh Building. Access to The Murray Library is via a ramp with automatic doors into the foyer. There is lift inside the building. View a map of the City Campus.

At Sir Tom Cowie Campus there are disabled parking spaces available behind the David Goldman Building, outside the Campus Security office, and behind the Reg Vardy Building. Access to St. Peter's Library is via two automatic doors into the Prospect Building. There is a lift inside the building. View a map of the Sir Tom Cowie Campus.

If you need help accessing our buildings, please contact Paula West (Disability Support Coordinator) to discuss your individual needs.

Parking permits

If you’re a Blue Badge holder, you can apply for a University Blue Badge permit. This enables you to park for free in designated disabled parking bays on campus. Permits are arranged by Facilities. If you're a student, check what type of permit you need.
