Throughout April and May, your library will be changing to help support you.

Learning spaces will change at The Murray Library

  • Our Upper Floor and Lower Floor will be silent (including the Study Lounges). Our Silent Study Rooms will still be available.
  • Our Design Suite, Creative Learning Zone, and Resource Discovery Zone, and Syndicate Room 3 will be for quiet study. Our PC Quiet Zone and two Quiet Study Rooms will still be available.
  • Our Middle Floor will be for group study. You can continue to book and use Syndicate Rooms 1 and 2 for private group study space.

Learning spaces will change at St. Peter's Library

  • Our Lower Floors will be for silent study (excluding the Law Library). The Catherine Cookson Reading Room will still be available.
  • Our Upper Floor will be for quiet group or individual study.
  • The Law Library and IT Suite will be for group study.
  • You can continue to book and use the Group Study Room for private group study space.

More support for both exams and dissertations

  • Study Skills Drop-Ins - every Tuesday 1pm-4pm in the Study Skills Zone at The Murray Library and every Thursday 10am-1pm in the Student Skills Suite at St. Peter's Library. We offer support with revision skills, time management, dissertations and planning.
  • Dissertation Support - every Friday 1pm-3pm in the Info Skills Room and the Study Skills Zone at The Murray Library. We offer expert study skill support and a distraction-free space to work. Running from March 15 to May 31.
  • Online skills guides - for achieving exam and dissertation success.

Longer opening hours

Both The Murray Library and St. Peter's Library will be open 24/7 from April 15. Current students will need to use their campus card to enter and exit the building during self-service hours.
