Study skills support for staff

We have an established and University-endorsed study skills strategy.

Our strategy takes a wide view of skills, incorporating the  University's commitment to a research active curriculum, graduate employability, and digital literacy. Information literacy is central to  study skills, which also include academic skills such as critical thinking and academic writing.

We have created and sourced key resources that support the learning and teaching of academic skills. You can use, adapt, and embed them in your teaching.

The reusable learning resources are available under a Creative Commons licence. This allows you to download, customise, or link to the resources to  support skills development in your teaching, provided that you attribute the University of Sunderland Library as the source of the  work. All students can also access the generic version of materials from our website or within Canvas.

Please complete the study skills request form for staff if you would like to organise a study skills or library support session.
