Authorised users are:

Authorised users with accounts can access subscription resources using Library Search or by going directly to the resource and choosing the Academic/Institutional/Shibboleth option. There is no remote access to e-resources for user groups without a user ID.

Current University of Sunderland students and staff

May access all our subscription e-resources using their University user ID and password.

Partner college staff

To arrange the set-up of their user ID and password, partner college staff should contact their Faculty representative. They may access many subscription e-resources where publisher licenses allow.

Visiting professors & research fellows

Visiting professors and research fellows should contact HR to have their user ID set up. They may access a subset of subscription e-resources where publisher licenses allow.

Emeritus professors

Emeritus professors need to contact HR to have their user ID set up. They may access a subset of subscription e-resources where publisher licenses allow.

Other users (including members of the University's Alumni Association, members of the SCONUL Access Scheme, ONCAMPUS Sunderland students, and retired staff)

All guest types are eligible for 'walk-in' access to a range of licensed online resources whilst in our libraries, as defined by the publisher. Once you have registered with us as a guest, please speak with a member of staff if you would like access to these resources.
