We run a variety of skills events to help you complete your assignments and support your research. Keep an eye on this page to stay up to date with the events on offer.

 

Study Skills daily drop-ins advert. Online and in-person sessions

Study Skills Daily Drop-ins - Online every weekday + in-person on Thursdays!

Mondays and Fridays 11.30am - 1pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Study Skills Advisers will be available to answer your academic study skills queries. Our online drop-ins are perfect for asking your referencing queries, where we will often be able to give you the instant support you need to move on with your assignment. This could be help with referencing different types of resources such as Journal Articles, eBooks, or even podcasts; or how to perfect an in-text citation.

Study Skills support can also help with tips to help your academic writing; revision skills; time management; or even dissertation guidance for those doing dissertations now and those getting ahead and planning for dissertations. You can access up to 10 minutes of guidance at each drop-in session to get the support you need to move on with your assignment.

It’s really easy to drop-in online we can either LiveChat or Teams whichever you prefer. All you need to do is open a chatbox on this page, or visit librarytalk.sunderland.ac.uk and open a chat, we will be there waiting to help you. 

In addition to our Monday-Friday daily online drop-ins, our Study Skills Advisers will be available for in-person academic study skills queries 3.30pm-4.30pm every Thursday during term time. 

So, if you’d prefer to ask your question in-person, call by and chat to our advisers any time between 3.30pm-4.30pm, every Thursday in the Library drop-in space, Murray Health.
